Return of the Man from U.N.C.L.E.: The Fifteen-Years-Later Affair

Return of the Man From UNCLE got very high ratings but CBS did not want to do it as a series and producer Michael Sloan delibberately ignored much of the back story of the original seies.
It was good to the the " boys " in action again.
I have the entire series in my DVD collection as well as the tv film.
This year I hope to get the MFU movies and the Girl From Uncle series as well and I own the Man From UNCLE book and know its author John Heitland though its been a long time since we've written each other.
My late friend David McDaniel wrote a number of UNCLE novels and I miss him a lot.
I got to read his unpublished UNCLE novel The Final Affair when I was staying at his home in LA in the early 1970's.
Fan published copies go for over $100 on Ebay and there are now 3 UNCLE novels produced by fans using the cover format of the original UNCLE books also available on Ebay.
David also wrote 2 The Prisoner books ased on the tv series The Prisoner.
When I lived in Las Vegas in 1968, David got Norman Felton, producer of UNCLE & Sam Rolfe, its creator to appoint me as the head of the Las Vegas Satrap of T.H.R.U.S.H.
It was printed on parchment and had the attacking bird symbol on it.
Sadly it burned up with so many of my personal possesions in a fire in may apartment in San Francisco while I was attending college at Laney College in Oakland.
My friend Glenn who lived next to me rescued my 4 cats but almost everything I owned was destroyed.
I had just spent thousands on a new typewriter, tv and other items the week before and was not insured.
It took the SFFD 9 months to determine that the probable cause of the fire was smoking in bed.
I wasn't home, don't smoke and raised hell abbout it.
The owners of the building who within that month had gotten cited by fire marshalls for no sprinklers, lighted exit signs, no extinguishers, etc. got $80,000 for that fire.
I wound up getting a paltry $80 in fire aid relief from the Red Cross and wound up moving back in with my Mother unitl I got an apartment and moved in and then I met Kathy.
I am convinced to this day that the owners knew I would not be home and set the fire to pay for the required fire improvements.
They were due to pay a huge fine for not being up to code.

This made for tv movie came out in 1983 the same year as Octopussy and Never Say Never Again
So in one year we saw all three Bonds.
