And a mega fail.




And our big most recent local disaster. We felt it in Sacramento, as I was living there at the time. Water from the pool jumped 40 feet across a driveway onto my friend's front door as we were waiting for the World Series to start. My Mother's power stopped in downtown SF as a blackout hit.
I put out my 3 tvs on the lawn and people sat and watched the news coverage for the next 48 hours day and night.







This happened right in front of my former Jr. High School, Marina.





Luckily to the right a huge natural gas storage tank had been removed in recent years. If that had been still there, it might have taken out the whole neighborhood. It can be seen in scenes in the movie On The Beach.

And on a lighter and cooler note ...

I watched them film parts of this. The gas station seen in one scene is still a gas station, 46 years later as many in SF have disappeared.

Best chase scene ever.
