Weather in 5 sees no major storms over the next 5 days. Low pressure will pass offshore early Saturday morning grazing some areas from Maryland and Delaware to Southern New Jersey with a bit of rain. Otherwise it looks to be mainly dry through early next week. 50s to near 60 Monday and Tuesday look doable. Other than the Pacific Northwest where flooding from heavy rain is possible, and some freezing fog issues in Texas, there are no serious weather issues over much of the rest of the US todayl

February begins with action picking up in the Western US where Winter Storm Watches are posted for many areas in the Rockies west to Utah & Nevada. In the Eastern US we have non winter continuing with no break in the action. In fact early next week temperatures will be rising to the 50s and 60s. A look ahead to the long range.

Weather in 5 on what promisies to be a nice Monday with highs in the 50s and 60s. Today will be the best day of the week as a cold front approaches. The second half of the week we see two waves of low pressure that will bring rain freezing rain sleet and some snow for portions of the Northern Mid Atlantic to Southern New England and a second wave that brings mostly heavy rains Thursday night into Friday morning.

Winter Storm Warnings are up for parts of North and West Texas. Snow will fall from Texas northeast to the Middle Mississippi Valley to the Great Lakes tonight and Wednesday. Weather conditions in the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states deteriorates with on and off rain today and Wednesday and then icing possible for Wednesday night into Thursday. A small window of opportunity opens up for snow in the Northern Mid Atlantic to Southern New England Saturday night into Sunday.
