A nice weather day from Northeast Virginia to Southern New England until clouds return later on Some freezing rain Saturday morning will create ice issues from Northeast Pennsylvania to the Hudson Valley. Snow will be well north in Upstate NY & New England and elevation driven. Rain for everyone else from Virginia into Central New England on the order of an inch to an inch and a half.

The weekend brings rain for the Northeast with snow in the highest elevations and some pockets of ice here and there. Much of the rest of the US is on the quiet side as it will be for most of next week.

Weather in 5 Quiet Work Weather Week Ahead, No Major Storms.
Weather in 5 looks at a rather quiet weather pattern that has set up for the middle of winter. There are no major storms around but a number of minor weather systems moving along in the flow. There is still no clarity on whether one of these minor systems will become a major one and move up the East Coast this weekend.
