ATSC 3.0 PRESENTATION AT CES.

This is the "NextGen TV - Unlocking the Future of Television" presentation from January 8, 2020 at CES in Las Vegas. You'll here from industry leaders Madeleine Noland of ATSC, Gary Shaprio of CTA, and Gordon Smith of NAB about the new over the air TV standard. Sorry about the few bumps in the video. I had a very small tripod due to carry on restrictions.

In a nice way, of course.

Re: ATSC 3.0 PRESENTATION AT CES.

In this video I interview Todd Achilles of Edge Networks in Boise, ID. His company successfully launched two ATSC 3.0 stations the Boise market. Some of the questions I asked: Will ATSC 3.0 help with weak reception in rural areas? Will it help with multipath interference? Will ATSC 3.0 fix some of the problems with low VHF? Is a new TV Tuner needed to pick up ATSC 3.0 broadcasts? Stay tuned for part two of this video series next week as well.

This is part two of a series where I interview Todd Achilles of Edge Networks in Boise, ID. His company successfully launched two ATSC 3.0 stations the Boise market. Some of the questions I asked: When will ATSC 1.0 shut down? Is an internet connection required? How many channels/subchannels can fit on ATSC 3.0?

Re: ATSC 3.0 PRESENTATION AT CES.

This video features several ATSC 3.0 NextGen TV enabled devices shown at CES 2020 in Las Vegas. It also includes a list of markets that will launch new NextGen TV signals by the end of this year. ATSC 3.0 is the new TV standard that's set to replace the current ATSC 1.0 standard in the coming years. Not sure what ATSC 3.0 is? Check out my video on it below:

Re: ATSC 3.0 PRESENTATION AT CES.

This video gives some more information about ATSC 3.0 Nextgen TV from the One Media LLC Lab in Cockeysville, MD right outside of Baltimore. I will also show a demonstration and test comparing both ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0 side by side. How is the reception with this new standard? Will subchannels be sacrifice for a better signal? Is it going to kill free OTA TV as we know it?
