Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 590 in a Mac Pro 5,1

I can buy a 2012 Mac Pro relatively cheaply.
I sadly do not have either $6k or $52K to buy the newest one nor to buy the non upgradable failed trashcan model whichi is ungodly expensive on Ebay.
I wish I did.

This card can be found on Amazon for just over $300 new.
New Egg & Walmart are out of stock on this.
You can buy it at Micro Center but only for store pickup and there is sadly none near me.
Nearest is to me is in Tustin, Ca. but out of stock.
It is in stock in a store in New Jersey.
$209.99 without the back plate.
A company in the UK will design you a custom made plate with an LED & I will have to ask them about that.
With your logo, name and name of the card on it as well.
There are many back east including in Philadelphia.
Luke Miani buys a lot of stuff from them.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sapphire-Technology-Radeon-Nitro-RX-590-8GB-GDDR5-Dual-HDMI-DVI-D-Dual-DP-OC/264315515467?hash=item3d8a6eb24b:g:uMIAAOSwwP1c08F4

I put the wrong link in.
Sorry.
And the Sapphire site has a hard time loading this card information for some reason.
I watched the 590 but the guy embedded it with only about 200 views which is stupid.
You can't repost it and he never came out with a part 2.
There is one video showing the 590 in a 2012 Mac Pro but I can't find it now & will keep looking.
Installing a 580 and a 590 are effectively the same except for the screw hole issues with the 590.
The Mac will recoginize it as a class of card but not the exact card but it will work in a 2012.
The only issue with THIS card is that you have to align the screw holes properly and tighten the left screw slightly by hand first, then the right screw while also pushing the card towards the outside to get it to seat properly.
You also need the correct power connectors with a splitter as it takes 2 connectors, an 8 pin and a six pin to work.
But those are cheap and can be found on Amazon.
Card is about $300 and has 8 gb of ram built in.
There is a non special edition that looks identical but is $20 cheaper or so.

There are very few 2012 Mac Pro upgrade videos out there
Most people are still upgrading 2008, 2009, 2010's.
I am going to be buying a 2012 Mac Pro in March and will slowly upgrade it as I have the money.

I'm going to be putting the 1 tb external drive in this 2008 Imac in a few months.
Then repair the 2010, add ram and a new 2tb SDD & fix the cracked screen and eventually wipe the drive on this one and sell it.
I am also buying a 2010 Mac Mini next month so I can use the Mac Mini in the bedroom as well.
And then once the 2010 Imac is repaired and the ram upgraded, wipe it as well and sell it and get a newer Imac.
And use the 2005 Mac Mini to play older games.

Mac Pro 2012 - Why it's still the best Mac for professionals

Ever since the launch of of the Mac Pro in 2013, now nicknamed the trash can, people have been complaining about the lack of upgrades that can be done on it. Let's face it, this was always going to happen, something that small isn't going to have too many things that you can upgrade, also this seems to be the norm now for Apple. However one of Apple's last discontinued models seems to the saviour to creative professionals everywhere, and guess what I bought one. I review this machine, why I bought it, how I speced it out, and the problems I had. Nothing is ever easy when your doing stuff that not many have done before, but once all of this was worked out, this machine is still a beast of a machine that cuts 4k footage like butter. How does 12 cores, 64 gb of ram, 6gb GTX 980ti GPU, with an SSD for MacOS, SSD for windows 10, SSD for scratch disc, SSD just for rendering too for blasing fast speeds sound? I thought so then keep watching as I review and offer advice on anyone wanting to do the same, and aren't bothered about what it looks like, but how it performs, then keep watching.
