Weather in 5 as we enjoy a nice quiet period in the weather across the Northeast & Northern Mid Atlantic States. We recover from the major storm of Sunday and Monday with just some minor changes over the next 5 days. The next weather system next week heads for the Great Lakes which means clouds showers and warm temperatures Monday and Tuesday after a dry nice weekend.

We look to a busy weather week ahead with lots of temperature volitility and a couple of storm systems that will be impacting the Eastern US. Monday and Tuesday bring a big warm up and rain. A stalling front and a wave might bring some snow to the interior Middle Atlantic to Southern New England Tuesday night into Wednesday.We will also look at the weather nationwide and a look at the long range.

Warm air is surging up the East Coast ahead of a cold front. 1 to 1.5 inches of rain forecast. Colder air returns later Tuesday night and Wednesday and another wave of low pressure will bring some snow Wednesday morning on the order of 1 to 3 inches in most places

Weather in 5, First Winter Weather Advisories Up for Snow Wednesday Morning, Coastal Storm Friday
Ahead of some snow we are seeing highs reaching into the 60s from Northeast Virginia to Southern New England. Look for a 1 to 3 inch snowfall Wednesday morning from Northern Virginia to Southern New England. A coastal storm will bring a windswept soaking rain up the East Coast later Friday into early Saturday.

We are looking at snow ending shortly from this cold front and very flat wave on it...so flat you can't even find it. A coating to a couple of inches was the outcome with Long Island and some areas of coastal NJ seeing more than others. Cold weather next 2 days, rain Friday night and Saturday. Low pressure moving up the east coast will bring a soaking 1 to 2 inches of rain from Georgia to Maine later today and tonight with minimal to no frozen precipitation. Weather conditions will slowly improve over the weekend with Sunday far better than Saturday. A chance for snow in the Northern Ohio Valley and moving into parts of the Northeast on Monday.
