The Shriner's stopped using this building in the mid 90's.  They now have a place out in the countryside nearby.  The city now owns the building and a feasibility study was done to re-purpose the building.  Surprisingly, the study found that the building is more-than structurally sound and the work needed was mostly considered "cosmetic" in nature.  I work next door to this building.  What I would caution though is trespassing is strictly forbidden and the city police often do enter and will arrest and charge people.  I have seen it first hand.
