i found this on You Tube.
Written by a British songwright in 1935 and re-done in 1936 by an Indiana group, the song had great influence on Spike Jones and even Weird Al Yancovic.
And the Hoosier Hotshots were live on Pittsburgh's mighty and legendary KDKA radio every Saturday night.
In Pittsburgh, where else.

I suggested that Noory play this some night just to wake people up.
Much better than that horrible submerged artistes stuff he runs.

I LIKE BANANAS (BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO BONES)

Standing by the fruit store on the corner,

Once I heard a customer complain:

"You never seem to show the fruit we all love so,

That's why business hasn't been the same.

I don't like your peaches,

They are full of stones.

I like bananas,

Because they have no bones.

Don't give me tomatoes,

Can't stand ice cream cones,

I like bananas,

Because they have no bones.

No matter where I go,

with Susie, May or Anna,

I want the world to know,

I must have my banana!

Cabbages and onions,

hurt my singing tones,

I like bananas,

Because they have no bones!"

Looking to control the internet, one video at a time.
In a nice way, of course.
