San Jose Channel 11. Power outages & damage in 3 cities.
Quake felt in Sacramento. Biggest quake since 1989 Loma Prieta. 2 highways damaged in area with several closed, 121 & 29. Roadways buckled. 3.6 aftershock just happened south of Napa
Quake struck along Franklin fault. Dormant fror 1.6 million years. Quake lasted 20-25 seconds. Shallow quake 6.2 miles below surface.
Businesses in Vallejo damaged, windows out. Many chimneys off houses. Water mains broken.
Power out in portions of Napa, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Fairfield. About 5,000 out of power. No damage to major roads in area.
Going down to feed cats, back in about 10 minutes.
Oz quake app going nuts with aftershocks. Channel 11 reporter says he felt it in Fremont 40 miles from here.
USGS says chance of this being foreshock 5-10 %. They won't know for sure for several days.
