Cold Start But Temperatures Bounce Higher
We had a very cold start today with lows in the teens and single digits from Virginia to New England. Highs today should break into the low to mid 30s in most places. We will rebound Wednesday through Friday as we eventually get back into the low to mid 40s. A storm this weekend will bring accumulating snow to inland areas from Pennsylvania to New England but mostly rain for the urban corridor along I-95.

Weather in 5, Cold in Florida Warming Up Northeast, Snow Rain Weekend
Weather in 5 as we start the day with very cold temperatures in Florida with Wind Chill Advisories, freeze warnings and even some snow aloft offshore on the radar! While they freeze, we moderate over the next few days as we head toward the 40s. The weekend sees an elevation driven snow and rain system that will bring raw rainy conditions to the coast and some snow well inland. Joe's snow forecast map is up.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Florida Cold, Warming In The East Next Winter System Underway
Meteorologists Joe Rao & Joe Cioffi live streaming tonight as Florida saw temperatures in the 30s this morning and even saw some frozen precip on the radar offshore! In the East after a cold start temperatures have started to recover. The recovery continues through Friday. The next storm system is moving into the Mississippi Valley with Winter Weather Advisories from the Southern Plains to the Great Lakes.

Temperatures Moderate In the East, Weekend Rain Snow Not A Big Deal
Weather in 5 as our cold air mass moves offshore and we warm up somewhat today with sunshine and high clouds. The next storm system is nothing to write home about as it is weak and disorganized and forecast to remain so. Some snow is likely well north and west of the coast but only a few to maybe 4 inches possible in elevated areas of the interior northeast. Weather conditions improve on Sunday.

The week starts of quietly with no major storms across the country. Some lake effect snow and freezing drizzle action in the Northeast and a weak system producing rain and snow in the Southern Plains and rain in the Southeast US.

Quiet Week Continues Weak Storms
Our quiet weather week continues in what is a rather chaotic pattern across the US & North America. The amount of cold air is minimal and that will create issues regarding any storm impacting the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic states this weekend.

Another Day Fighting Clouds, No Clarity Yet Regarding Saturday System
Weather in 5 hoping to get some sunshine today but clouds have been very stubborn for the last several days and sunshine has been limited. Low pressure is moving across the Gulf States and weakening as it moves east. Another low follows that could graze the Northeast and Middle Atlantic States with some rain or perhaps wet snow in some places for the weekend.
