I live in downtown Martinez, Ca. 6 miles from the epicenter of Mondays Pleasant Hill, Ca. 4.5 shaker.
Frequently when a large quake occurs on the Pacific Plate in California within hours or a day a large quake occurs across the Pacific in a seesaw effect. 2.5, 4.5, 3.5 quakes on mysterious " unknown " fault that USGS say they now " know all about it " yet Monday they knew NOTHING about this mystery fault and showed quake history of region back to 1852 on KPIX 5 SAN FRANCISCO. KPIX had a mention of how Pleasant Hill quake affected the San Andreas fault in story on Rodeo refinery fire. Now can find no mention of their report. Then USGS issues pronouncement that mystery fault is NOT connected to Calaveras, Hayward or San Andreas fault and will have NO effect on any of them. Quake shook my building hard here in Martinez first shaking building like 2 hands grabbed it, then starting and shaking some more. Books went flying, light fixture crashed in bedroom as I held on for life in kitchen. Have not slept well since Monday. My beloved cat Little Girl disappeared Saturday after midnight. Has never left apt building premises in her life as she was born on the grounds along with my other 2 cats, Fluffy and Fuzzy. Both other cats are sleeping in my sleeping area on bed since quake. I and they are nervous wreck since quake. Little Girl always comes when I call her for wet food and follows Fluffy when he goes downstairs. Now 84 hours and no cat. She knows where she lives and would come into eat and sleep. Jim Berkelund, geologist became famous for noting that cats and dogs start disappearing before major quakes. Predicted Loma Prieta and got fired for it. USGS and scientist deny animals sense quakes before hand. Magnesium in heads of animals and people raises sensitivity. Main stream science in denial. 2 refineries here shut down during quake. Next day major fire in Rodeo refinery. We have not been told if that refinery was affected by quake. Refinery about 10 miles from me. USGS ALWAYS downgrades quake intensity NEVER upgrades. Quake was first said to be 4.7 in section of Waldron section of Pleasant Hill that few had heard of. They said Waldron was a town, not the neighborhood it is. Epicenter under senior apartment building that they also knew nothing about. Now are " experts " on it. USGS acts like ROTC guy in Animal House that screams " All is well. Stay calm ! " as crowd panics and tramples him. They do not want to tell the people the truth for fear of a panic and people leaving state in droves. Which they are doing because of economic and political policies of Democrats, homeless and druggies.
USGS trots out spokeswomen and men telling us we are "overdue " for quake yet they cannot find mystery fault.
Lucy Jones who became famous for her interviews at the time of the Northridge quake LIED during live interviews on You Tube when she talked about the quake in Southern California, a 7.4 followed by dozens of aftershocks. I cannot recall the town but its where secret Naval Base said to be conducting geologic secret experiments had epicenter of quake. We are not told what their activities are.
USGS continually lies.

I do not trust their pronouncements.
